Film/Photography Permit Rate

All locations managed by the Habitat Authority require a permit. Fees for film shoots may differ per location based upon the scale and potential impact of the filming.

Basic daily site fees for filming/photography/staging are as follows:
1-20 people including cast/crew/extras $1,250
21-40 people including cast/crew/extras $2,250
41-60 people including cast/crew/extras $3,250
61-80 people including cast/crew/extras $4,250
 
Additional fees:
Habitat Authority monitor/ranger $70 hour up to 8 hours, 4-hour min $280
$105 hour after 8 hours
Parking $20 per personal vehicle, $50 per truck, or a $1,500 base camp/crew
Refundable deposit $1,000
Permittees may be required to make a $1,000 refundable security deposit to insure that the area is left in the same condition as prior to the event and all permit regulations are followed. The requirement of a security deposit is at the discretion of the Executive Director or designee. The refundable security deposit is due at the time of permit issuance and will be returned 4-5 weeks after your event if the site is left in the condition as prior to the event, and all permit regulations are followed.
Student rate
If under 10 people $25
AND the student applicant is required to produce an approximately 2 minute informational video for exclusive use by the Habitat Authority (not for profit) if needed. The subject matter is that at the discretion of the Habitat Authority. Student shall provide two draft versions of the film for comments and edits, and a final version.
Nonprofit rate
If under 10 people and under 4 hours $100
Low-Impact Photography rate
If under 5 people, and less than 1 1⁄2 hour $150

*Additional rates apply for projects within City of Whittier limits, and on Sanitation Districts property.
